Arsenal eye Porto midfielder


Arsenal have reportedly turned their sights towards Porto midfielder Danilo Pereira. The Gunners are expected to strengthen in the summer with the defensive midfield position a key priority. 

It is understood that first choice target Thomas Partey could prove too expensive as Atletico are unwilling to sell below his £45 million release clause. 

Porto are ready to do business for half the price for the experienced Danilo. The Portuguese international has been one of the more consistent players at Porto.

He has captained the club and is a regular international for Portugal meaning he has leadership and experience in abundance

His experience coupled with his low transfer fee makes him an attractive signing for the Gunners.  It is expected that a transfer bid will be made in the coming weeks. 

The Gunners face Chelsea in the FA Cup final as they look to end an underwhelming season with a title
