Chelsea’s interest in a new goalkeeper is no longer a secret. The Blues have reportedly lost faith in first-choice goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga, following his poor showing in recent months. Although keeping the struggling Kepa Arrizabalaga seems realistic.
But the club is determined to listen to any acceptable offer for the world’s most expensive shot-stopper. Should the Blues reach any deal for the former Athletic Bilbao number 1, the report is linking them with an ambitious move for Atletico Madrid and Slovenia goalkeeper Jan Oblak.
Chelsea were linked with Dean Henderson on loan at Sheffield United from Manchester United and Andre Onana of Ajax. The former will be very difficult to get as Man Utd are keen on extending the shot-stopper contract at the end of the season, while the later is a more realistic target should the club get rid of Kepa.
But latest reports have emerged that the Blues will try and lure Slovenia international Oblak to Stamford Bridge. According to the Mirror, Chelsea will make an approach for Oblak, who is arguably one of the best shot-stopper in the world in a bid to address their defensive woes.
