Chelsea manager, Frank Lampard has given the management of the club the go ahead to sell Emerson Palmieri.
The 26-year-old made 21 appearances for the Blues during the 2019-20 campaign but lost his regular spot in Frank Lampard‘s first XI in the early stages of 2020 and Lampard wants to sign a new first-choice left-back.
The Italy international has been strongly linked with a move to Inter in recent months, with Chelsea expected to sign a new left-back before the window closes on October 5.
Lampard needs to raise funds to sign more players and would be happy to part ways with Palmieri.
According to Calciomercato, Emerson has already agreed personal terms with Inter, who must now settle on a transfer fee with the Blues, which could be as much as £23m.
The report claims that the defender is likely to pen a five-year deal at San Siro should he arrive.
Palmieri was brought to Chelsea by current Inter boss Antonio Conte in 2018 where he showed a glimpse of how good he can be.
Inter are bidding to win the Europa League this season and will take on Shakhtar Donetsk in the semi-finals of the competition on Monday night.
