Newcastle United are interested in signing out of favour Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi. The Daily Express says that Chelsea are ready to cash-in on the Belgium international following his inability to impress manager Frank Lampard.
The former Marseille ace has been given limited opportunities due to the form of Tammy Abraham but has looked out of depth when called upon. Chelsea value the forward at around £40million and Newcastle have expressed interest in the player.
The Magpies are about to be flooded with cash with the prospective Saudi led ownership set to be ratified by the EPL in the coming weeks.
Batshuayi is seen as a quality signing for the Tyneside outfit as they look to move up the ranks in the EPL. London side West Ham have also expressed interest in the forward who last season spent the second half of the campaign at Crystal Palace.
The impending arrival of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig means that Batshuayi is the odd man out with Olivier Giroud recently signing a new deal.
A move to Newcastle would be a great one as he could spearhead the revolution set to take place at the historic club with the new ownership.
