Uruguayan midfielder, Nicolas De La Cruz, is a subject of strong interest from Manchester City. The Citizens have opened negotiations with the midfielder who has a release clause of €22 million.
The midfielder’s agent, Paco Casal, met with Manchester City representatives according to reports in Argentina and are keen to open negotiation for the player.
It is reported by Ole that City representatives have made it known that their limit will be the €22 million release clause on the player’s contract.
Transfer deals in South America are complicated, and De La Cruz is no different, as his ownership is split, among different stakeholders.
His parent club, River plate have only 30% of the players right, the other percentage are being shared by his agent and other stakeholders.
The club will do all they can to hold on and fight for the player transfer, so they can have as much money as possible on the player, as they would let it known that they were solely responsible for the players exposure over the past seasons.
The player is expected to start English classes, so as to aid his communication skills because it is very likely he will be moving to the English champions very soon.
