Manchester United are prepared to look for other cheaper alternatives to Dortmund’s winger.
Manchester United are ready to walk away from a deal for Jadon Sancho over Borussia Dortmund’s ‘unrealistic’ £108million valuation and could instead go in for Wales starlet Rabbi Matondo or Kingsley Coman, according to reports.
Kingsley Coman is a superb winger on his day, and one would wonder if he wouldn’t already be among the world’s best had it not been for a host of injury problems season in, season out.
But now that he’s back and performing, it sure looks like he’s got a lot to offer, and with Leroy Sané already purchased from Manchester City, Bayern Munich have three top-quality players for their wing rotation and may be willing to allow the French winger go out on a loan or a possible permanent transfer.
Rabbi Matondo who has had four Wales caps to his name, had indeed been in contact with United.
It is believed, however, that Dortmund want United to get the deal completed by August 10, but the two clubs are still said to be miles away in their valuations of the player.
Unhappy with BVB’s valuation for the England international, United are seriously considering alternatives to Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, says the Manchester Evening News.
A move for Bayern’s Coman, if that is the alternative route United are prepared to go with, would again prove costly, given he is fully established over in Germany and a fully-fledged France international.
Matondo would be the easier of the two to prise away with Schalke prepared to sell for the right offer.
Whether Bayern, and to a greater extent, Coman would agree to the transfer is a completely different question. There are no signs as of now indicating that Coman really is “keen” to make a move abroad.
