Manchester United endured another disappointing weekend of Premier League football, as they were held to 2-2 draw against newly promoted side, Aston Villa.
The Red Devils went a goal down to a Grealish wonder strike, a goal that will be there at the end of the season as a contender for the best goal of the campaign.
United rallied back through an own goal by the away side goalkeeper, Tom Heaton, United were soon in front through Victor Lindelof, but it didn’t take long again before they surrender the slender lead, Tyrone Mings pulled Aston Villa level, and 2-2 it ended.
A tie against a newly promoted side is expected to be the sort of match a manager under pressure might look forward to, but things are not that rosy for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer and his troops.
It was another disappointing display from United, who have won only four in 14 matches this season. They have collected 18 points all season, their lowest in a top-flight since 88/89 season when they finished 11th in the table.
If things are not well addressed as quickly as possible, a mid-table finish looks very likely for United this season or at best a top-half finish.
