Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle are said to have joined other Premier League clubs in pursuing relegated Norwich City Star Todd Cantwell.
It’s been a very disappointing season for Daniel Farke’s team, whose long-awaited relegation was confirmed after their abysmal performance against West Ham. The Hammers inflicted a 4-0 defeat on the Canaris, with Michel Antonio scoring all four goals.
Cantwell alongside Pukki has been one of few bright spots-although the later list form and has not scored a goal in 6 months. Can’t sell emerged from the fringes of the squad to appear in all but one of their Epl matches this season.
Cantwell, 22, has scored seven goals for Norwich City this season, a return only bettered by Teemu Pukki, and his fine performances have earned him plenty of admirers from the top flight. Back in February, Liverpool were said to be leading the race for his signature, while Tottenham later emerged as a serious contender.
One thing is for sure, Cantwell will not go down with Norwhich, as several clubs are ready to offer him another chance at the top flight.
Cantwell won’t come cheap though, as the club has placed a hefty price tag on their priced asset.
